I have a confession to make: I wasn't entirely sold on the Mercedes-AMG GT at first. Sure, the performance sounds impressive, as does its light weight and lower price point than the SLS AMG. But the styling just didn't stop my in my tracks the way the Jaguar F-Type Coupe does.
Then I watched the official "teaser" video from Mercedes-Benz, and now I have to say I'm warming up to this car in a big way. Some things just look better when you can see them in motion. The car's clean, flowing shape presents well here, and the inside manages to be high-tech and kind of understated at the same time.
Also, it's hard not to be won over by that angry, vicious exhaust note. AMG gets a lot of things right on their cars, and noise is definitely one of them. Their GT looks to be no exception.
I think this thing is gonna be good. Really good, in fact.
