The Raccoon Is On The Windshield

There isn’t much to this. On Wednesday, a raccoon hopped onto the hood of a Colorado Springs police van, as the officer behind the wheel headed to the scene of a crash. And it hung on.

See?

It’s like he believes the officer is heading toward an extravagant pile of trash. “Go,” he thinks, “go faster.”

Maybe he’s flustered here. Who could say. Police spokesperson Lt. Howard Black told The Denver Post that, shortly after, the officer slowed the vehicle and pulled off to the side of the road. The raccoon hopped off.

“How in the world did that raccoon hop on?” Black wondered to the newspaper.

We’ll never know.
